The open fibre optic network – ready for all providers

Below you will find all providers currently offering their services via the open-access fibre optic network of Ascona4net. The open OTO Ready-for-Service fibre optic network in Ascona is available to all telecommunications providers.

Ascona4net operates exclusively the open fibre optic infrastructure (Layer 1) and does not offer its own internet, TV or telephony services. These services are provided by individual providers via the fully comprehensive point-to-point FTTH fibre optic network (open access).
The range of providers is continuously growing.

Yes. On Ascona4net’s open and non-discriminatory fibre optic network, you have free choice among all providers operating on the single comprehensive point-to-point FTTH network. As long as your building, flat or business unit is connected to fibre, you can freely choose between the available offers.
The portfolio of telecommunications providers is continually evolving, allowing you to benefit from a wide range of fibre optic services. You may choose services from a single provider or combine individual services from different providers according to your needs.

The Ascona4net fibre optic network gives you access to a wide range of multimedia services. These include high-quality internet, TV and telephony, as well as modern applications such as streaming, e-learning, video on demand and online gaming. The network is also ready for future fibre-based services, allowing you to benefit quickly and reliably from new offerings. You are free to choose both your provider and the multimedia services you wish to use – selecting the package that best suits your needs.

The telecommunications providers market their products through their own channels and set their prices independently. Thanks to non-discriminatory provider access, you benefit from attractive prices and a wide range of fibre optic services in Ascona – either individually or as a package with Internet, TV and telephony. The portfolio of providers is also continually expanding, meaning new services and offers are added on an ongoing basis.

No, Ascona4net does not provide multimedia services such as internet, TV or telephony and is not a telecommunications service provider. Ascona4net is exclusively responsible for the construction, maintenance and operation of the fibre optic network infrastructure in Ascona. Multimedia services are offered solely by the individual telecommunications providers via the area-wide point-to-point FTTH fibre network.

The provider access to the Ascona4net fibre optic network is established via the defined handover points (Service Access Points) of our infrastructure. Through these interfaces, all interested telecommunications providers receive non-discriminatory access to the comprehensive point-to-point FTTH fibre optic network in Ascona as part of the open-access model.
